What We Do
- Consult with schools and central organizations on the status and planning of their budgets.
- Prepare and monitor the General Fund and Capital Fund budgets.
- File state budget reports with OSPI.
- Maintain accurate projections of revenues and expenditures to ensure sound financial decisions.
- Provide research and assistance in policy development.

Every year, Seattle Public Schools adjusts staff assignments based on the number of students enrolled in schools.
To help offset the growing cost of athletics, SPS is introducing a new voluntary fee for high school sports starting this school year.
